Our History & Mission

Opening in 1935, our founders were dedicated to building a not-for-profit financial cooperative to meet the savings and borrowing needs of the residents of Fort Monmouth. Over the years, we’ve grown from a one-company credit union to serving the Monmouth, Ocean, and Middlesex County communities. First Atlantic is headquartered in Eatontown, New Jersey.

Our mission is to support our members and deliver the best financial services by anticipating challenges, discovering opportunities, and helping you to thrive financially. We’re committed to treating people with respect and dignity and doing business honestly, fairly, and transparently.
